Account Representative

This position is based in Mexico City, Mexico and reports to the Client Operations Manager. The Account Representative communicates on a daily basis with the clients, management, the Production department, and technical team(s) regarding new orders, work(s) in progress, and billing. The Account Representative ensures client requirements are adequately defined, uniformly understood, and appropriately planned within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters as dictated by client to achieve the successful execution of client’s project.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and release work orders to Production and Postproduction including a schedule of terms, due dates and instructions for the shipping all work materials (video, M&E, script, creative) in order to set the project up for success.
  • Determine if voice tests should be performed by SDI or if a voice kit should be requested by the client.
  • Provide instructions to the Postproduction scheduler related to the A/V material to be released to the translator and director when voice tests are performed.
  • Ensure the Production Scheduler includes all the pertinent information (director’s first choices, resume of the talent, etc.) when scheduling the voice tests.
  • Advise the client as to the dates of production and postproduction and confirm their agreement with the proposed timelines.
  • Follow up with client for their approval on the voice tests, songs and/or scripts.
  • Communicate with client, and Production about creative strategies ensuring any differences are resolved in a timely manner so the project remains on schedule.
  • Seek casting approval from the Dubbing Director and Production prior to commencing work.
  • Notify Production once casting has been approved.
  • Advise Client Operations Manager to prepare quotes for client when songs are requested.
  • Confirm client approval of song selections notify prior to commencing recording.
  • Notify clients when deliverables are ready and when they are sent.
  • Mark projects delivered in production reports and advise Finance for billing purposes.
  • Schedule creation of ARS when needed.
  • Schedule translation of synopsis, loglines and title sheets when needed.
  • Track and update creative guidelines and instructions for each project.
  • Translate instructions received in English to Spanish before sending information to Production.
  • Confirm the start and end dates of the recording and post-production phases with the production teams to assure the timely delivery of the product.
  • Follow up reports of severe failures detected in the quality control process to determine if the project delivery date will be met or if more time is needed for delivery.
  • Review rejections with Clients Manager in order to address issues, understand what to communicate to the client, and to determine preventive measures to avoid similar mistakes in the future.
  • Attend and schedule meetings with Production, Postproduction and all personnel involved in special projects such as videogames and multimedia to clarify expectations before projects commence.
  • Track and control money spent in pre-production, production and post-production processes based on established policies.
  • Learn and utilize SDI proprietary software; Atlas, TermWeb.
  • Ensure Company security practices and policies are strictly followed.
  • Establish strong working relationships within department, company and with clients.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Business or Communications desired or equivocal experience in client facing sales oriented role.
  • 2 to 3 years of customer-service-related work experience.
  • Highly developed communication skills and experience with high-pressure, deadline-driven scenarios.
  • A strong background in client service is preferred, as is an extroverted, outgoing personality.
  • Interest in Media and Entertainment industries.
